All original artwork, photographs, fine art prints (digital and physical), collection names and titles, written copy, video, audio, branding, design, and packaging on whatshepictures.com is the copyright of Connie Chan, operating as What She Pictures (ABN 59 654 155 610). All rights reserved. Where licensed third-party imagery appears — including styled room mockups used to display the artwork in context — that imagery is used under licence from the relevant rights holder and remains their property.

This work is protected under the Australian Copyright Act 1968 and, by virtue of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works and other applicable international treaties, under the copyright laws of all signatory countries worldwide.

Accessing, browsing, or downloading content from this website grants no licence, express or implied, beyond viewing for personal, non-commercial purposes.

This notice constitutes an express reservation of rights under Article 4(3) of EU Directive 2019/790 on Copyright in the Digital Single Market, and the equivalent provisions of any other applicable jurisdiction. Use of this content for text and data mining is not permitted.

Watermarks and metadata

All images on this site carry copyright metadata, watermarks, or both. Removal, alteration, or obfuscation of any copyright notice, watermark, attribution, or rights-management information is prohibited and constitutes a separate violation under Section 116B of the Australian Copyright Act 1968 and equivalent provisions in other jurisdictions.

Linking and framing

Direct links to the homepage and individual pages of whatshepictures.com are permitted. Framing, embedding, hot-linking of images, mirroring, or any presentation of content that obscures the source or implies endorsement is prohibited without prior written permission.

Purchasing a print

When you purchase a print, you acquire ownership of the physical print only. The copyright in the image remains with Connie Chan / What She Pictures.

As the owner of the physical print, you may:

Display the print in any space, including homes, workplaces, businesses, and public-facing premises
Photograph the print for personal records, including insurance and inventory purposes
Share personal photographs of the print on social media in accordance with the social media terms below
Lend, gift, or resell the physical print

You may not:

Reproduce, scan, or photograph the print for any reproduction, derivative, or commercial purpose
Manufacture or sell merchandise, products, or copies based on the artwork
Use the artwork in commercial advertising, promotional materials, branding, or marketing without permission
Modify, adapt, or create derivative works from the artwork

Incidental inclusion of the artwork in photographs of a venue, space, or interior, where the artwork is part of the decor rather than the subject of the photograph, does not fall under the prohibitions above.

Social media

Sharing images from this website, or photographs of prints you have purchased, is welcome on personal social media accounts, provided that:

The image is shared in unaltered form
Credit is given to @whatshepictures
A link or tag back to whatshepictures.com is included
Any embedded watermark, caption, or attribution is preserved

This permission does not extend to sponsored or paid content, monetised influencer accounts, brand or business accounts, or any commercial use, all of which require prior written permission.

The incidental inclusion exception in the previous section also applies to social media.

Brand identity

"What She Pictures" is the trading name of Connie Chan, used in commerce. Use of the name, logo, or associated branding by other parties in a manner that could cause confusion with this business is not permitted.

Severability

This notice is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising in connection with this notice, or use of the content of this website, will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
