Do What You Love
It’s been 11 years since I decided to shake up my cosy life back home in Toronto. I’ve grown so much since I first chose my old name, Click This Photo. I’ve travelled the world, moved to a new country, built a career, and developed so much as a person and as an artist. I’m not the same person I was at 24. I have a clearer understanding of what it is I want to do now, and what it is I’d like to leave behind. I needed a new name to convey the new vision I had for myself.
What I love to do is content creation. It’s all the great things about the commercial world – working with professionals to create high quality images – but with less of the high stakes stress and politicking that often happens when you work with big committees on big campaigns. To me, commercial photography is all about perfectionism whereas content creation is more about merging ideals with real life. It’s less perfect, but more real because of that.
My refocus to being a content creator means that I spend more time creating instead of talking about creating. I’m a creative director, stylist, photographer, and retoucher in one which makes my ability to explore new ideas endless. I get to do more of what I love to do.
I also get to spend more time building meaningful relationships with like-minded people. Connecting with passionate, hard-working game-changers who truly believe in the businesses they are growing is fulfilling. Hearing the joy and excitement my clients express when they see their beautiful new images is what makes what I do so rewarding.
What She Pictures Is What She Creates
What She Pictures is about content creation, photography, and so much more. It’s more than just taking photos. It’s about telling stories. It’s about exploring possibilities. It’s about bringing ideas to life.
Thank you for joining me on this next chapter of my story.
